    Because they are dumbasses…

  • KissMeImPunk:

    @TMNoob3 What about in the case of the onboad video chip starting to go bad?

  • Usul573:

    @Usul573
    Or maybe that low profile GT 220 DDR3 from MSI.
    That one actually has some power.
    I dunno there’s so many, but the really low end stuff like the 210 and 5450, mmm.

  • Reffiro:

    @Usul573 God! you have no idea how bad i want to play mass effect 2 but i am saving up for a Xbox slim.

  • Reffiro:

    @Usul573 I’m gonna stop being so stingy with my money a little. Which pc is good on the market? I was thinking about getting that iMac 27″ but i don’t know how it would handle next-gen games.

  • Usul573:

    @Reffiro
    Well they are moving more games over to Mac and such, but I’m not too sure about it and I think Macs are a bit of a ripoff for the cash.
    Ibuypower does lots of custom gaming rigs, Dell can put together a good gaming system. Alienware is mostly a ripoff. You could build one but that’s a little tricky.
    Heh, I’ll probably play both Mass Effect games on PC since it’s better graphics than the 360 version.
    Core i7 and 5850 would be really awesome.

  • Reffiro:

    @Usul573 What you think about a Studio XPS 9000 – 1TB harddrive – 8 Ram – ATI Radeon HD 5850 graphics – i7-920(8MB L3 Cache, 2.66GHz)?
    it would cost less than a low end iMac 21.5 ((O_O))$1,389.99/$42monthly((O_O))

  • Usul573:

    @Reffiro
    Hell yes, that’s DDR3 ram of course right?
    I’m not seeing the option for the 5850 but if you get that or a 5870 either is extremely powerful. Sounds like plenty of processing power and RAM and storage too, the highest end games recommend Core i7. Going to get a 1080p monitor or what?

  • Usul573:

    @Usul573
    Just to throw a few numbers out there, with a 5850 and doing games at 1080p and maximum in game settings, they got 94 FPS in Mass Effect 2 and 97 FPS in Bioshock 2 and 80 FPS+ for the Call of Duty games. So many games still recommend 9800GT like ME2 or GTS 250 since they’re so much more powerful than what the 360 and PS3 have so they can do the games really well. The 5850 DESTROYs them. Definitely try to always play the PC version if you have that kind of a system.

  • Reffiro:

    @Usul573 Yes, i have a Samsung 23.6″ 1080p LCD Monitor that was given to me by my brother as a hand me down/birthday present also it is DDR3. I didn’t know it DDR stuff actually made any different.

  • Usul573:

    @Reffiro
    Well just DDR3 is the memory you want to have, better and more efficient.
    I think the 5850 can be amazingly efficient for how powerful it is also.
    1080p is definitely what you want since game consoles, blue rays, PC games, they’ll all do it nicely and at the right aspect ratio.
    The 5850 is powerful enough for a lot of 2560×1600 gaming too though.
    That’s definitely the type of setup you want, Core i7, 5850, 8 GBs of RAM, 1 TB drive, 1080p screen. Going to do it?

  • Reffiro:

    @Usul573 Heck yeah i will get it! you inspired me to get a better pc. I should too because i use my pc for all my media needs. You’re freaking awesome for helping me out and being friendly.

  • Usul573:

    @Reffiro
    Also going from XP to win 7?
    Win 7 is all shiny.

  • JollEBee:

    But I only have a green screwdriver… D:

  • Reffiro:

    @Usul573 You bet! I think window 7 is the best OS out there.

  • itsnotmedj:

    Thanks this was a good tutorial. One thing I’m wondering is how I can install a graphics card into a motherboard that already has a integrated graphics card.

  • jddrewes:

    @itsnotmedj
    i’m trying to do the exact same thing. i think that i might have to select the new video card from BIOS but i’m not exactly sure how to do that :/
    any help would be appreciated

  • AnAngryVideoGamer:

    I wonder how many people went to walmart and bought an orange screwdriver..

  • Jeffguy1542:

    Wait, he said it was an XFX card, then installs EVGA drivers?

  • TheWarlord1000:

    What’s the difference between green screwdriver and the orange one???? Do I have to have the orange one or can be any screw driver??? Sorry my pc is missing a sound card so i couldnt hear what the guy is saying

  • basbas63:

    my screwdriver is blue is that dangerous?

  • L3Z99:

    I have a question. I just ordered a toshiba satellite laptop with intel core i5 processor, 2.26 Ghz, 4GB DDR3 Ram and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145 graphics card. Will i be able to play games like bad company 2 and gta 4, maybe crysis?

  • AssassinsCreed4Eva:

    Nah, my grandma can’t even set her dvd recorder
    XD

  • ICrayonI:

    @itsnotmedj im pretty sure u stil can if you have extra pci-e slots in your computer. P.s. plug your moniter into the newer graphics card and not the old one.

  • DanCakez:

    o god my ears are bleeding. its like shamwow without nuts.
