I’ve already installed my motherboard in my tower case, and I’ve also installed my processor and the fan that came with it.

Tomorrow I’m installing the RAM and the power supply, and I was just wondering if the power supply would have any charge in it fresh out of the box for the first time? I’ve been wearing an anti-static wristband mounted to the metal part of my computer’s tower case with the alligator clip. I know power supplies can sometimes hold charges which can be lethal, so I just wanted to know if I needed to change my grounding or anything? I know that you are supposed to avoid unequal currents between surfaces, and I just wanted to be safe.

Do I have anything to worry about or should I continue to use the wristband the way I have? Should I change the grounding?
